Location: This is a field based, supervisory position covering Devon and Dorset areas.

This role is working for high street retail and banking clients for the TS-Mobile division

Salary:
Salary up to £42,500 dependant on qualifications and experience

We are currently looking to recruit an Operations Supervisor to oversee the daily supervision of the Mobile Engineers who work within the Devon and Dorset areas.


You will be responsible for providing supervisory guidance to engineers across the region and maintenance knowledge in mechanical and electrical systems to ensure appropriate and compliant solutions and efficient customer service delivery.

The Supervisor will have knowledge in more than one skill or technology area - preferably HVAC, Mechanical, Electrical & Gas.

This position requires an individual with good people, communication and organisational skills.


You will act as the liaison between the Engineers, Mitie and the clients ensuring excellent communication between all before, during and after the works.


Main Duties

Ensure all tasks are carried out to the highest standard of customer service and that work is completed on time, within budget and meets Service Level Agreements or Key Performance Indicators

Undertake supervision, coaching, support and development for team members

Day to day management of relevant employees including conduct, performance, attendance and capability. Taking the necessary and appropriate actions to address any inappropriate behaviour or low standards, with the support and advice of HR

Build effective relationships with the client, answering queries, keeping them informed about site activities and developments

:

Identify opportunities for, and then organise and manage to completion, any additional works in accordance with any repair and replacement contractual requirements

:

Act as the primary point of contact for all Customer Services team queries

:

Monitor, co-ordinate and manage services provided by engineers and/or sub-contractors

:

-
Undertake scheduled audits on the performance of the engineers to ensure their performance continues to provide the best value-for-money service

:

Ensure compliance for all necessary Permit to Work Systems

:

Assist in the implementation of improvements to procedures and systems, making recommendations as appropriate.
To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Recognised industry qualifications
  • City & Guilds
  • Can demonstrate understanding and leading by example for health and safety. Understands the relevance of toolbox talks and safe systems of working.
  • Holds relevant professional qualifications (e.g. mechanical, electrical, building services, air conditioning/refrigeration) minimum standard C&G level III or equivalent.
  • IOSH Managing Safely trained.
  • Excellent customer communication skills both written and verbal.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills.
  • IT Literate.
  • Able to understand and act on both verbal and written instructions/procedures.
  • Confident to challenge where necessary.
  • Flexibility over working hours (may be required to work evenings and weekends to ensure work is coordinated / completed), may be required to provide back up cover on the standby and call out duties as and when required.
