To meet the unprecedented demand for Support Staff across the South East Northumberland Area, AK teaching are recruiting supply Teaching Assistants to start immediately.

AK Teaching can offer rates of pay between £75-190 per day for long term & daily cover. Daily supply would not involve any planning or commitments to extra-curricular activities.


This academic year has proven to be the busiest on record, so if you have found yourself short of work opportunities or have extra days where you would like to support within a classroom then do submit your CV below - the need is currently extremely high and shows no signs of slowing down.

What you can expect from AK Teaching:

  • A dedicated consultant who will work on your behalf to secure you work
  • A variety of school placements; you can pick and choose what you want to accept and decline
  • Long and short term assignments depending on your own personal needs
  • Ongoing CPD courses throughout the course of the academic year e.g. behaviour management, safeguarding, assessment methods and strategies etc
  • A 'Recommend A Friend Scheme' with the opportunity to earn per referral
