What we do
This is an opportunity to work as part of a team of 20+ risk professionals, right at the heart of the projects and programmes in TfL.
You will be part of a central PMO from where you may be deployed across multiple assignments across multiple projects at different lifecycle phases whilst fully supported by a team of senior risk managers.
You will be part of a single experienced team with a wealth of experience to draw upon and as a result you are supported both to deliver and grow in project, programme and portfolio risk management.
Whilst our focus is on key risk management interventions, we are also constantly working to improve our processes, culture and presence within the business which involves working on a pipeline of priority improvement initiatives.
The role you'll play
You will be responsible for risk interventions, business as usual activities and embedding a culture of best practice risk management.
As part of this:
- You will assist the senior risk manager/ risk manager in ensuring risk compliance against processes.
- You will facilitate risk reviews, ensuring robust risk assessments are carried out, encourage effective mitigation strategies and ensure timely reports are produced at various levels across the business.
- Alongside this, you will work with key stakeholders and the senior risk manager/ risk manager to ensure that the right risks have been captured and analysed to inform credible quantitative risk analysis outputs.
Knowledge, Skills & Experience
Knowledge
- Knowledge and understanding of capital projects and programmes with an emphasis on Risk Management and how this supports and integrates with a wider high functioning environment
Essential - Knowledge and understanding of risk & opportunity management frameworks, tools and techniques in a project and programme management setting.
Skills
- Good influencing skills
Essential - Stakeholder Management experience
Essential - Project Management
- Information Management and Reporting
Experience
- Experience of monitoring and supporting risk management processes and implementing tools to support changes.
- Experience of dealing with a range of stakeholders at all levels across the organisation influencing improving process to support project delivery
Essential - Ability to implement risk and opportunity management processes and develop appropriate risk mitigation strategies.
