Job summary:

This role sits within the Department for Business and Trade's (DBT) newly formed Domestic & International Markets & Exports directorate (DIME).

This Group, led by Andrew Mitchell, will be responsible for the delivery of practical support to businesses to grow exports so we reach our £1tr target.

DIME also has overall responsibility for support for small businesses.

This role will be instrumental in the departments race to £1tr target by 2030. You will lead the team responsible for performance management and governance.

You will work across the breadth and depth of DIME's business, building strong relationships and partnering with senior managers, corporate and operational teams to develop intelligent governance structures, informed by robust data and smart metrics to monitor performance and inform good decision making.

This is an exciting time to join the team as short term work will be focused on the incorporation of xBEIS Cities and Local Growth and business growth teams into the directorate to embed ways of working, good governance and the use of data to inform decisions key to the work of the department.

It is a great opportunity to shape a role and to work across an interesting and exciting portfolio.
