Job summary:
As the UK's regulator for the energy industry, Ofgem works on behalf of energy consumers to ensure that every household and business in the UK can rely on a safe, affordable and environmentally sustainable energy supply.
As Head of Process Digitisation, you will be key to achieving Ofgem's vision of Digitisation which supports the end Ofgem goals of protecting the consumer and accelerating transition to net zero.
We'll look to you to scope, design and develop new digital versions of existing Ofgem processes which will improve the speed and quality of the services we provide, both to internal users of our services, and external stakeholders such as energy companies, the UK government, scheme users, and the general public.
Having higher quality data within automated digital processes will accelerate our current shift to data-driven decision making and digital transformation, and facilitate further innovation across Ofgem and the UK energy industry.
You will have extensive process design and digitisation expertise, and be confident in strategically envisioning, designing and delivering a product strategy to an agreed roadmap.
You will have a high level of technical expertise, and experience of leading a product delivery team to define, prioritise and deliver technical features / work packages.
A strong team player and excellent communicator, you'll also have experience of working within consulting, project or product delivery using agile frameworks.

Job description:
The Head of Process Digitisation is a senior role to accelerate digital transformation, data driven decision making and innovation across Ofgem.
These will improve the speed and quality of the services we provide both to internal users of our services as well as external stakeholders like energy companies, the UK government, scheme users or the general public.
Having higher quality data within automated digital processes will accelerate our current shift to data driven decision making, digital transformation and foster further innovation across Ofgem and the UK energy industry.
The Head of Process Digitisation will be key to achieving Ofgem's vision of Digitisation and supporting the innovation and growth agenda of:
- Making OFGEM a recognised leading digital regulator
- Establishing the platform capabilities to deliver long term value in specialist 'digital' areas including XRM/CRM, Process digitisation and Data.
- Supporting our drive to of 'easy speed and certainty' and deliver improved innovation driven operating efficiency and effectiveness.
- Supporting Capex and Opex cost efficiencies across Ofgem through automation and internally challenging how Ofgem works
- Prioritise the development of capabilities in the use of existing and stateoftheart intelligent workflow technologies to support improved regulation.
This role works closely with the Chief Data Officer and Chief Analytics Officer as well and complimentary teams of Digital Services and Delivery and Schemes to define and agree strategic and tactical priorities.
