Assistant Management Accountant | Global PR Agency | Southwest London

Harmonic are delighted to be partnering with an award-winning global communications agency with their search for an Assistant Management Accountant to join their team out of their Southwest London office.

With a focus on healthcare & medical communications,the agency sits within a wider group that spans across 70 nations who have been front runners in the Creative Agency space for decades.

The business has undergone significant growth in the last 2-3 years, and they are looking to invest heavily in the financeteam this year.

They are very much a values led agency, and care passionately about the work they do to make a difference both commercially and culturally.

The Role:

Reporting into the CFO and an experienced Management Accountant, the role has been created to strengthen the finance function, where you will work with and mentor the junior members of the finance team to make process improvements.

You will also be responsiblefor preparing accurate monthly management accounts including detailed variance analysis and reporting.

To support the business to achieve key financial objectives specifically containment of costs by ensuring processes are consistent across both businesses.

Key Responsibilities:

Monthly variance analysis and exception reporting
Assistance with budgeting & forecasting
Monthly & quarterly balance sheet reconciliations
Assist with year end auditing
Complete month end reporting process for designated business area adhering to tight reporting deadlines ensuring accuracy and compliance
Calculation of accrued and deferred revenue in line with Revenue Recognition principals and preparation of journals
Work closely with the CFO and Senior Management Accountant to mentor junior members of the team

What We Need to See (Essential Skills):

1-year minimum working in an Assistant Management Accountant position or similar
Strong attention to detail
Strong interpersonal, communication and presentation skills
Good allrounder, proactive, team player

What We Would Like to See (Bonus Skills):

Previous experience working in PR, Advertising, Marketing or Media

Salary:
£32,000 - £42,000
