This is an exciting, flexible role where you'll be supporting our work on raising awareness of EDF's commitment to the highest standards of safety and its contribution to the local community.
As an excellent communicator, you'll be the face and voice of the station.Your customer-focused approach to work will be pivotal in ensuring the best experience for all visitors to the station, whether this is a local school, public servants or local community groups.
It's a dynamic environment where the situation is always changing depending on who may walk through the door, so being flexible to adapt your working style and plans is paramount.

What you'll be doing
As a Station Guide you'll:
- Act as a face and a voice of the company
- Ensure the safety and wellbeing of visitors
- Represent the company by giving presentations at external events
- Support educational groups through centre activities and station tours
- Manage and communicate with internal and external stakeholders
- Work with Lead Visitor Centre Coordinator and Community Liaison Officer to promote and manage the reputation of EDF in the local community.
Who you are
You'll need the following skills for this role:
- Excellent communication, customer service, interpersonal and organisational skills
- Highly motivated and enthusiastic
- A methodical, motivated and customerfocused approach to work
- Friendly, approachable and confident manner, sensitive to people's needs and cultural differences
- Business and commercially awareness
- Team player with the ability to work well on your own
- Previous experience within an education/learning environment desirable
- Flexibility in work pattern
- Full driving licence is required.
You'll work for periods of 4 hours at a time to resource the Visitor Centre and to provide station tours.
Working hours are predominately from 9am-1pm or 1pm-4pm, dependent on demand and business need - we offer flexibility in how we shape these hours and would like this to work both ways Working hours will initially be Monday - Friday however evening and weekend working may be necessary and therefore a flexible working approach is essential.
