Catering Staff - Norwich - Bank contracts available


An opportunity has arisen to join our catering team to assist in providing, managing, and developing a high-quality catering service to approximately 60 residents, guests, and visitors of this wonderful care home.

If you have a passion for catering; whether that's taking the lead and creating new dishes or chopping and washing to assist the general preparation of the food, we have positions available for you.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assisting in the preparation, cooking and attractive presentation of all meals.
  • Most dishes will be made in house and home baked products should be available daily.
  • Prepare meals i.e., vegetables and salad items for service under the direction of the chef.
  • To create nutritious, wellbalanced dishes using fresh, high quality and seasonal produce. The menus will meet all dietary requirements in consultation with residents, relatives, and staff.
  • Prepare ancillary items for service such as bread and soft drinks.
  • Prepare and deliver beverage/food trolleys as required by the chef.
  • Ensure the smooth transfer of supplies, goods and equipment between storage and work areas.
  • Ensure the safe operation of all kitchen equipment in accordance with the appliance instructions and company policies and procedures.
  • Be able to maintain good working relationships with all colleagues, residents, and visitors always.
  • Provide regular interaction with residents to gain feedback regarding the food service.

£5.20-£9.65 per hour
