The Aspire Training Team are currently recruiting for a punctual, reliable and enthusiastic individual to join Wren's Nursery setting as a Level 5 Early Years Lead Practitioner Apprentice.


This is an exciting opportunity to complete a Level 5 Early Years Lead Practitioner within the grounds of Hooke Court, a beautiful West Dorset Estate with 24 acres of parkland.


The Nursery itself is situated in Larch House, a spacious, bright and airy building with a large open plan play area downstairs and calm and comfortable area upstairs on the mezzanine floor.

The ground floor opens into the Nursery garden which has direct access from it into the beautiful grounds. The nursery is filled with a huge variety of toys and resources.

The setting caters for children aged - 4 years old, consisting of 40 acres of field studies ground, mud runs, animals, pond, woodland, purpose built modern nursery open plan, 36 children and looking to expand, educational studies including maths every day


Duties and responsibilities:


  • To lead the preschool and take on the SENCO role.
  • You will be assigned as a Key Worker for a group of children within the nursery. Your main role will be to support these children while they are in the nursery. This involves welcoming these children in the morning, settling them in to the nursery and supporting them throughout each session
  • In addition to this main role you will be required to help set up activities both inside the setting and in the outdoor environment before each session and help to tidy away at the end. You will also help to organise snack time, supervise free play both indoors and outdoors and supervise meal times. It is essential that you remain up to date with the Wren's Nursery policies to ensure you are aware of important procedures that must be followed in a variety of situations and that the welfare of the children is your key priority.

Hours:


  • You must be able to obtain a clear DBS
  • Level 3 Childcare qualification
  • Preferably have GCSE grades A*C or 49 in Maths and English Language, or equivalent
