Housekeeping Assistant

Millport Care Centre, 19 George Street, Millport, Isle of Cumbrae

£11.65 per hour

16.5 hours per week

Where you'll work


Millport Care Centre is in the town of Millport on picturesque Isle of Cumbrae in the Firth of Clyde, only a 9-minute subsidised ferry journey from Largs.

We are lucky to be located 100m from the award-winning Newton beach with some amazing views across the Firth of Clyde over to Arran and Ailsa Craig.


Our team is supported by our activity coordinators to provide meaningful activities to enrich the lives of our residents and housing support service users.

We support and encourage our service users to access local groups, activities, as well as shops and cafés.

There are regular trips to the mainland for shopping, cinema, swimming, and meals out with family and friends; we encourage the use of public transport to improve community relations and socialization skills, we also have a minibus for the use of group trips.

We ensure that there are always planned activities available and a selection of activities available at the service user's request.


Our residents will always give you a warm welcome, and brighten your day, they embody the Magic of Millport in everyday life, and show the true meaning of care.

  • As a Housekeeping Assistant, you will be responsible for providing a high quality housekeeping service, whilst showing care and commitment to having a positive impact on our residents' lives

What skills do I need?
Team work A happy team, makes for happy residents and a happy home.


Experience is not essential, as we will help you with all the training and support you'll need to do the job, what is important is that you are caring, enthusiastic and have energy to share.

Being able to communicate well is essential along with a flexible approach.

You will also be kind and have a real genuine like for older people and their needs, ensuring we treat everyone with the respect and dignity they deserve.
