Impact Statement:
The Pricing / Deal team is critical to the deal process when bidding for new business and / or re-negotiating fees with existing clients.
The Team advises leadership on pricing strategy and works with business leaders on modeling deals to drive revenue growth.
Revenue growth and executing against our Pricing Strategy are both top focus areas for Management and the EMEA Pricing Lead will help drive that process along with the Head of Pricing, Head of Product, Head of Sales / Client Coverage, and the Segment Heads.
EMEA Pricing lead will also sit on the European Deal TeamPrimary Responsibilities:
- Lead the modelling and conduct benchmarking analysis for large complex transactions
- Oversight of large deals in EMEA and be responsible for updating senior management on those deals
- Assist in strengthening State Street's Pricing Strategy. Required analysis includes but is not limited to;
- Conduct economic analysis on won / lost / fee rebids to help triangulate market clearing price
- Develop a more sophisticated framework around pricing based on multiple factors such as region, size, fund complex, etc.
- Assist in undertaking a review of product rate cards to establish standards, including tiering, segments and regions
- Assist in creating new rate cards with updated prices
- Support Head of Pricing in ad hoc analysis for Management Committee Members (e.g. CFO, Head of Investment Services, Head of Sales, Head of Product)
- Drive independent conversation and calls with Sales Lead / Client Relationship Manager
- Support creation of deal review package for executive level audience
- Identify and implement improvements in data infrastructure and analytical techniques to improve quality and timeliness of pricing decisions
- Pricing model maintenance with update of unit costs, Risk governance, Automation of manual processes
Required Skills or Certifications:
- Highly driven, hard worker willing to "roll up her / his sleeves"
- Comfortable with ambiguity
- Strong knowledge of finance and pricing strategy.
- 510 years of finance experience in asset servicing
- Strong analytical and research skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Strong problemsolving skills
- Effective reporting and presentation skills
- Enthusiastic and proactive team player
- Exceptional Excel / PowerPoint skills
- Strong quantitative, technical and analytical skills
- Background in asset servicing a plus
- Graduate degree preferred
