Summary of Role
We are currently seeking a Finance Assistant to join our team.

The core responsibility of this role will be managing our accounts payable process however we are seeking someone with the flexibility and attitude to undertake varied responsibilities as required, who has been exposed to other areas of finance or who is willing to develop additional skills.


Key responsibilities

  • Responsible for the accounts payable function from supplier setup, processing of invoices and credit notes and communicating directly with suppliers as required.
  • Responsible for reconciling supplier accounts and the monthly supplier payment runs.
  • Liaise with our Procurement Department on purchase order queries/issues and address these in a timely manner.
  • Assisting with payroll function when payroll administrator is on leave and labour only subcontractor processing. Full training will be provided.
  • Adhoc duties which may reasonably be required within the finance function.

Person Specification
To perform successfully in this role, you will need:

Essential

  • Excellent communication (verbal and written) and interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail, organisational and prioritising skills
  • Computer literate with strong Microsoft skills
  • Selfmotivated with ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously and positive attitude towards teamwork to achieve team's goals.
  • A flexible and confident approach to change
  • Focused on continuous improvement and willing to adapt and innovate while meeting compliance and commercial requirements.

Desirable

  • Previous experience of working in a Construction / Manufacturing / Fit out company
  • Previous experience of CIS
  • Previous experience of Sage 200
