The Opportunity

Shift Pattern 4on 4off 06:00 - 18:00

In this role you will be responsible for providing timely and accurate completion of all despatch functions and transport administration processes in line with Company standards.

Key Responsibilities:

Responsible for running the Transport Despatch desk when on shift ensuring the efficient and cost effective management of all operational activities in this area. Ensuring all KPI measures and key tasks are continually met and exceeded.
Working as part of the transport team to ensure the correct standards of work are maintained and assisting with continuous improvement initiatives which will benefit the department and its customers.
First point of contact for all SBD drivers, agency drivers and external customer drivers ensuring drivers are fully briefed/debriefed and correct paperwork and Proof of Delivery's are issued and returned.
Responsible for answering Driver/Debrief telephone and ensuring all questions, queries or concerns are resolved in a timely and efficient manner and referring issues to the Supervisor as required.
Liaise with drivers throughout the shift to ensure progress on deliveries
Excellent telephone and communication skills
Organised and Flexible and computer literate
Excellent relationshipbuilding and customerfacing skills
Strong administration skills with attention to detail
Good geographical knowledge and able to work to timesensitive deadlines and prioritise work
