Beatport offers the possibility to work remotely as well as a work environment from the office in London with approximately 30 people.


About the Job:


This position is part of Beatport's Music Services team, whose primary function is to create a suite of professional tools and services to empower songwriters, artists, labels, publishers and distribution companies.


This position is responsible for the day to day management of a growing roster of clients, ranging from small dance music labels to management companies to distributors.

You will be their first point of contact for questions, issues and general queries.

A broad range of industry knowledge is needed to be able to assist with a wide range of questions, as well as advise clients on best practices and processes.

You will work closely with our content, marketing and technical teams to get the best care for our clients and redirect queries as needed.


On top of maintaining relationships with existing clients, you'll be bridging the gap between business development and label relations by working closely with the BD team to onboard new clients and train them in the necessary systems.


Job profile:


  • Serve as Label Relations Coordinator working across all owned or controlled assets for The Beatport Group of companies, the role will primarily focus on:
  • Managing the day to day running of label support for ampsuite clients.
  • Answering questions, solving or redirecting issues and advising on industry best practices.
  • Maintaining and developing relations with all clients across the Music Services division.
  • Being in contact with DSPs and other relevant contacts across the industry to keep up to date with services and solve day to day issues.
  • Connect with Operations, Marketing and other appropriate teams within Beatport to discuss opportunities, or address queries, concerns, and issues.
  • Work alongside product and engineering teams to make sure the platform remains fit for purpose.
  • Maintain an up to date knowledge of current trends in the music industry, and be the authority on it for the company.

We are looking for someone who has:


  • Minimum 1 year's experience** in the music industry specifically in label relations/account management (label, distributor or retailer)
  • Knowledge of metadata standards, marketing best practices and royalty reporting issues a must
  • Knowledge and interest of Electronic Dance music a plus
  • Must be organised, persistent, and focused under pressure
  • An eye for detail is essential
  • Can work to deadlines autonomously making sure that priority tasks are completed
  • Good communication skills while enjoying verbal communication on the phone and Zoom calls
  • Understanding of the digital music marketplace and supporting technology
  • Knowledge of the digital retail landscape and its history a plus
  • Experience dealing with labels, artists, suppliers, and aggregators
  • Proficient in Google Docs, Asana, Zendesk, Content Management Systems
  • Experience dealing with labels, artists, suppliers and aggregators
  • Strong organisation and administrative skills in a collaborative environment
  • Excellent English language proficiency is essential, other language skills a plus
  • Ability to be a team player while being able to work independently at the same time
