Shunter Driver/Yard Operative to join their growing team in our purpose-built facility in Longcross, Surrey.


Salary:
£135 per day (overtime available).

Competitive benefits package.

Both Day and Night shift hours available

This is an exciting opportunity to join an expanding company that has achieved listing on the London Stock Market.


Facilities by ADF plc provides serviced vehicle hire for television and film productions in the UK and Europe, specialising in on-location support for dramas and major features.

The company has big development plans due to the continued growth of the Filmand TV industry and the company acquisition.


Our smart, efficient hire fleet includes artiste trailers and departmental trucks for costume, make-up and production, as well as diners and honey-wagons.


Facilities by ADF plc are a 24/7 operation and staff are required to be flexible during busy periods to cover additional workloads.


Shunter Driver/Yard Operative - Key Responsibilities:

  • To safely move vehicles and trailers from the parking area to the wash bay area and around the yard
  • Ensure that the correct procedures are adhered to when 'hitching and unhitching' the unit to the trailer and to ensure that the trailer is securely loaded
  • If necessary to deliver to a customer, depot, garage or test centre
  • Puts safety first and respects all other road users
  • Diligent in ensuring driver and vehicle checks are completed correctly
  • Self motivated with a positive attitude and extremely reliable
  • Assist in the cleaning and maintenance of all ADF trailers to the standards required
  • Work in conjunction with Yard Manager
  • Report any defects or damage found whilst working on trailers to Yard Manager
  • Complete check sheets when trailers are cleaned, sign off & give to Yard Manager
  • Be aware & follow the company's Chlorination process

Shunter Driver/Yard Operative - Essential requirements**:

  • A valid HGV/LGV C&E driving license
  • Current Driver CPC
  • The ability to maintain high standards while working under pressure
  • Strong Attention to detail
  • Be reliable and a positive attitude
  • Good team player & communicator
  • Flexible approach to hours available for overtime when required
  • Be physically fit and able to work outside if required
  • Ability to work on own
Experience is not required as training will be provided.
