We are urgently recruiting for a Live In Support Worker to provide support to a 39 year old male with a traumatic brain injury, following a road traffic accident.


The role will include supporting the client with day to day tasks, accompanying him to places in the community or to activities he may wish to attend, monitoring progress and keeping documentation up to date, preparing meals, assisting with cleaning, and any other support required during his daily life.

This role will predominantly be a personal assistant role prompting personal care, assessing and assisting with danger awareness, and prompting taking medication.

Ultimately, you will be responsible for ensuring the client can live happily, and safely in their home whilst promoting independence.


Shift requirements


The rota will be in blocks of 24 hours which will be paid at a rate of £ You will be required to work a minimum of 48 hours per week and 1 weekend in 4 therefore, flexibility is essential.

Requirements:


  • Previous experience of 3 months full time or 6 months part time in a professional care role within the UK.
  • Someone who is reliable and responsible with an abundance of experience supporting clients with challenging behaviour.
