We Are The People (WATP) is a small research team of disabled academics and non-disabled allies engaged in disability research and disability activism.

The team is seeking to appoint three fixed term Community Researchers to partner with academics at Bath Spa to co-produce disability research.

The research will be responding to three themes (outlined in the attachment).

We would like each group to create a small-scale project which responds to one of the three themes:

  • Experiences of disabled people, carers, and/or allies of global ethnic majority origin; and
  • Creating stories with people with profound and multiple learning disabilities and those involved in their care.

Each group will be allocated a budget to produce this project such as a small event, a video or an artwork, etc.

These outputs must either raise awareness or influence change within your community.

Each group will be supported by a research mentor, the project manager, a working group, and the wider team during the project.
