This is a fantastic role for a live-in housekeeper who enjoys rural living and having autonomy over their work:

Job Summary:

Our clients own a beautiful property just outside the town of Stirling Scotland which is used as a second residence.

The principals usually visit for 3 to 4 weeks over Christmas and Easter, around 6 weeks over the summer, and the odd long weekend throughout the year, one of the principals will tend to stay over one night ever over week or so.

This is a fantastic role for a live-in housekeeper who enjoy' s rural living and having autonomy over their work.

You will be required to work 5 days per week, when the family are not in residence you may choose your days off, but when the property is occupied, your days off will need to fit around their schedule.

On average you will be working a 40-hour week, please note some weeks will be less and other will be more.

General duties:

Ensure the house is clean and tidy
Seasonal deep cleaning
Laundry and ironing
Preparing guest bedrooms when required
Standard family cooking is required, however a chef will be bought in for larger numbers
Grocery shopping
Accepting deliveries

The principals are in the process of securing a full trained working Cocker Spaniel who will be based at the property full time.

When they are not in residence the dog will be your responsibility.

This role is perfect for a housekeeper who enjoy' s living in the countryside and enjoy being surrounded by country pursuits
You need to be happy working in a role that can go through really quiet times and be happy to step up the pace during busy periods, especially when the family are entertaining
It is essential that you are dog friendly, and can give their new addition plenty of love and attention
Must be confident cooking family style meals
Must be an experienced driver

DBS check required at offer stage

Accommodation:

You will be provided with a lovely 4 bedroom detached cottage, with kitchen, dining room, living room and study. Pets will be welcome as long as they get on well with other dogs.
A car is provided for personal use.
The home is situated around a 40 minute drive from Edinburgh airport
A couple with a school aged child will be considered as long as you are aware that you will need to source childcare during the summer and weekends when you are required to work.
