We are working with one of the UK's leading compliance & electrical testing specialists to recruit a Electrical Tester. Providing customer focused service that ensures peace of mind through surety of compliance.
We have an extensive experience across a variety of estates; including retail, corporate, industrial, petrochemical, healthcare and secure environments.
In partnership with our customers, we are committed to provide value for money with an effective account management and transparent reporting.
- Confer with engineers, customers and others to discuss existing or potential engineering projects and products.
- Design, implement, maintain and improve electrical instruments, equipment, facilities, components, products, and systems for commercial, industrial and domestic purposes.
- Operate computerassisted engineering and design software and equipment to perform engineering tasks.
- Perform detailed calculations to compute and establish manufacturing, construction, and installation standards and specifications.
- Direct and coordinate manufacturing, construction, installation, maintenance, support, documentation and testing activities to ensure compliance with specifications, codes, and customer requirements.
- Inspect completed installations and observe operations, to ensure conformance to design and equipment specifications and compliance with operational and safety standards.
Responsibilities
- Attend team meetings to review performance.
- To undertake EICRs in a costeffective manner using your communication skills to liaise with the clients on site representative to minimise disruption.
- To undertake a wide range of electrical PPM tasks (as listed above).
- To undertake small installation works, with a strong focus on customer care.
- To cooperate with the shift requirements and work shift patterns as dictated by the business needs.
- Ensure that comprehensive maintenance records are kept and in order task sheets or the correct use of Tablets / mobile devices.
- Ensure that Method Statements and Risk Assessments are read and understood prior to any work being undertaken.
- Carry out point of work risk assessments as and when required.
- Comply with all elements of the FM Health and Safety Policy are adhered to throughout the delivery of all assigned work types.
- Ensure all works are documented and a full audit trail is available for your work activity
Essential Qualifications/Skills
- 2391 Testing & Inspection or Equivalent
- NVQ Level 3 Electrical Installation/Maintenance Electrician Apprenticeship or equivalent craft skill qualification
- Driving license
- Previous experience in a similar role
