With a commitment to excellence and a track record of successful project delivery, they are seeking a talented and motivated Estimator to join our dynamic team in Glasgow.

Position Overview:

As an Estimator, you will play a crucial role in my client's project planning and execution by providing accurate and competitive estimates for commercial structural steel and rainscreen projects.

Working closely with the project management and business development teams, you will contribute to the success of our projects by ensuring the financial viability and competitiveness of our bids.

Key Responsibilities:

Analyse project specifications, drawings, and other documentation to prepare accurate and comprehensive cost estimates.
Collaborate with suppliers, subcontractors, and other stakeholders to gather necessary information for pricing.
Utilize estimating software and tools to ensure precision and efficiency in the estimation process.
Evaluate and compare supplier/subcontractor bids and negotiate favourable terms.
Provide support in developing project budgets and timelines.
Collaborate with the project management team to ensure a smooth transition from the estimating phase to project execution.
Stay informed about industry trends, material costs, and construction methods to enhance the accuracy of estimates.

Qualifications:

Proven experience as an Estimator in commercial construction, with a focus on structural steel, rainscreen projects or cladding.
Strong understanding of construction processes, materials, and industry best practices.
Proficient in using estimating software and Microsoft Office suite.
Excellent analytical and mathematical skills.
Effective communication and negotiation skills.
Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
Relevant degree or certification in construction management or a related field is preferred.
