One of our partnership secondary schools are currently looking to recruit 2 experienced individuals for the above position. This role will be to start J
anuary and be ongoing until July for 35 hours/week. As an Academic Mentor you will play a key role in the country's recovering from Covid-19.

With the aim to reach 250,000 pupils in England that may have encountered barriers to learning, this is a unique opportunity to make a significant impact by delivering quality tuition sessions to small groups.


Your day-to-day responsibilities will include delivering bespoke interventions for individual pupils and small groups, helping pupils to grow in confidence and ability, and, ultimately, helping each child to reach their full potential.


The role will center around delivering effective and engaging sessions tailored to pupils' specific needs, and you'll be expected to clearly show the positive impact of your tuition through monitoring and assessment.


HOURS- 8:10am until 3:30pm

SALARY- £19,000 to £21,000

Responsibilities:


  • 1:1 support/small group work
  • Revision lessons
  • Work with the SLT to identify which pupils need support packages
  • Identify learning gaps and help shape a bespoke intervention programme for pupils
  • Manage the behaviour of pupils
  • Differentiate sessions in line with pupil's ability, considering any barriers to learning or additional needs
  • Deliver engaging sessions, to support a range of learning styles with clear learning objectives
  • 3 A levels at grade A* to C or the equivalent, such as BTECs or T Levels
  • GCSE English and mathematics at grade 4 or C, or above
