P4 Recruitment are looking for an Alternative Provision Lead in Preston for a 3 month contract.


Job Purpose:


  • Manage and oversee alternative provision and professional staff
  • Ensure appropriate use of alternative provision in line with statutory guidance
  • Work with settings, partners, and families to adhere to exclusion and elective home education legislation

Accountabilities/Responsibilities:


  • Provide direction to the team and deal with complex issues
  • Support strategic development and implementation of policy
  • Contribute to decision making and planning processes
  • Monitor exclusion and elective home education processes
  • Track and communicate pupils' destinations
  • Collaborate with schools and LA services to reduce exclusions

Requirements:


Qualifications:


  • Qualified professional or equivalent experience
  • Level 3 (or higher) professional qualification in relevant children's service or equivalent
  • Qualified Teacher Status

Experience:


  • Middle management experience
  • Managing complex operations/functions/services
  • Working extensively within education settings supporting vulnerable groups
  • Leading change and working within a team

Knowledge, Skills, and Attributes:


  • Strong analytical, evaluative, and problemsolving skills
  • Project and change management skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Detailed knowledge of education legislation and related processes

  • Commitment to inclusion, diversity, and health and safety
  • Essential car user post

Salary:
£27.00 per hour
