BAFTA is looking for a talented Membership Engagement and Inclusion Officer to join its busy Learning, Inclusion & Talent team

Job purpose


Driving inclusion and engagement of BAFTA's global membership, supporting the growth of membership and the expansion of BAFTA's programme of events at BAFTA's headquarters, 195 Piccadilly and across the UK.


Working closely with the Head of Membership, the Engagement and Inclusion Officer will engage with industry to ensure the membership is as inclusive and accessible as possible, reflecting the breadth of talent in the film, games and television industries.

The engagement and inclusion officer will lead on devising and delivering a programme of networking events, and support the wider membership team in offering an outstanding level of customer service and effective and efficient year round administration.


Key responsibilities:

Working with the Head of Membership and Head of Programmes to deliver effective member engagement and networking events at 195 Piccadilly and a complementary online programme aimed at members outside London, in BAFTA's branches, and overseas

Engaging with relevant industry organisations to support the growth and diversification of membership, and the promotion of BAFTA's values and mission

Support ongoing research and data analysis of BAFTA's membership to inform the development of the events programme and invitation process

Managing the delivery of online networking as part of a redeveloped online the members' area and researching networks and focus groups

Work with Head of Games/Games Officer to devise events to benefit, recruit and retain games members

Supporting the frontline customer service of BAFTA's global members, with a particular focus on retention and accessibility

To work closely with the reception and front of house teams at BAFTA 195 Piccadilly to deliver the highest quality of service, effective communication of key information and offers, and ensure a welcoming and inclusive environment


Ideally you will have:

A good knowledge of Diversity & Inclusion in the film, games and television industries, including relevant organisations and initiatives
Experience managing online communities, networks or audiences
Good knowledge of CRM systems and how to improve processes to enhance engagement and retention
Excellent customer service skills, including the ability to develop strategies to manage volume of queries, and deal with sensitive situations
Experience with events logistics and planning

The role Membership Engagement and Inclusion Officer requires a person who is able to draw upon a deep knowledge of current issues in the film, games and television industries to deliver events, policies, communications, and content which support a more inclusive, accessible and engaged membership.

Whether working on networking events, web copy, or dealing with queries from individual members, the Engagement and Inclusion Officer will strive to make create meaningful experiences for members and a positive impact on industry.

The role requires both strategic vision and industry knowledge and an appetite for practical problem solving, effective administration, and relationship building.
