TO SUPPORT OUR NEW TRANSFORMATION SYSTEM/ DATA PROJECT


The
Cancer Team Leader - Data Quality and Training will be responsible for the day-to-day management of the Cancer Pathway Trackers and the Cancer Navigators on each site.


The principle focus of this role will be to prepare for the new cancer system by analysing data and providing training.


The team leader will also supervise/mentor the Trackers and Navigators, carry out appraisals and personal development plans under the guidelines of knowledge and skills framework.

They will ensure that there is adequate staff cover for tracking, data collection and oversight of the Patient Tracking Lists.

They will also line manage the Cancer Navigators, though the Navigators will be based in and well integrated into the service.

The Team Leader may be asked to deputise in the absence of the Deputy Service Delivery Manager.

The post holder will be responsible for allocated Tumour Sites, ensuring that the MDTs are covered, the PTL is fully tracked and may be asked to be involved in any local pathway improvement projects for that tumour site.
