Administration Team Leader

  • MRI/CT & Radiology Services | The Yorkshire Clinic
An exciting opportunity has arisen at The Yorkshire Clinic for a 'Administration Team Leader

  • MRI/CT & Radiology Services'. to lead the administrative services for MRI/CT and Radiology. This role will encompass the day to day operation of all administrative services to ensure the clinical team are supported in providing a safe, effective and efficient service and customers receive 'outstanding' care and services at every contact point.

The Role:

  • Setting clear roles and responsibilities for all administration staff, ensuring all work is completed to a high standard and timely.
  • Develop KPIs and SOPs that outlines the administration services requirements for MRI/CT & Radiology services.
  • Provide strong leadership and role model the Ramsay Values.
  • Manage rotas to meet needs of the services
  • Collating data to evidence timely referral to diagnostic timeframes
  • Providing a 'Customer First' approach in all activities.
  • Ensuring the patient pathway from referral to diagnostic/procedure is seamless
  • Supporting the clinical team with all administrative tasks.


  • IT software knowledge

  • PACS/RIS/Maxims
  • Ability to support staff appraisals and one to ones
  • Chair administrative staff meetings and attend departmental meetings
  • Manage sickness absence
  • Ensure staff competencies are up to date


This position requires an individual who consistently exhibits a positive attitude and has a desire to develop processes pivotal to driving and managing our current business.

You will be an excellent communicator, with the ability to make significant change at pace.

With demonstrated computer proficiency (MS Office, Excel and presentation packages) your attention to detail and accuracy is essential as is the ability to manage people and performance.


Essential:

  • Healthcare administration experience
  • Private Sector or NHS
  • Ability to challenge individuals behaviours and manage performance when required
  • Ability to interrogate data, formulating and analysing reports which will influence team performance
  • Proven ability to work to deadlines
  • Ability to manage team resource and within budget
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Proven ability to work effectively independently and within a broader team environment as required
  • Flexibility and adaptability to meet the changing needs of the business
  • Demonstrated excellent Customer Service skills
  • Demonstrate a good work ethic that includes punctuality, integrity, respect of others and a commitment to professional practice. 'Leading the Ramsay Way'.
  • Proven ability to lead a team to provide a safe, quality, customer focussed service.
  • Develop strong partnerships with key stakeholders e.g. Consultants, other departments.
  • Ensure Key Performance Indicator targets are achieved.
  • Support the Department in complying with all statutory and Ramsay Health Care UK quality standards.
  • Lead projects in the development of services and pathways.
  • Support the Governance Framework evidencing safe and effective service delivery.


As one of the leading independent private healthcare providers in the area, the hospital is set in three acres of woodland in the grounds of Cottingley Hall near Bingley.

Opened in 1982, the hospital provides a number of services from day care to major surgery and general medical care.
