The Leeds United Foundation is thrilled to reintroduce the new NCS community experience across West Yorkshire in partnership with Bradford City football club foundation and Wakefield Trinity community foundation.

NCS offers experience designed for 16-17-year-olds, and for young people (aged between 18-24 with special educational needs and disabilities. NCS runs year-round and offers a range of experience for young people throughout the year.

Since 2009, more than 800,000 young people have taken part in NCS completing over 18 million of community action and gaining life experience.


The NCS program aims to:
Cultivate global and professional readiness.

Foster greater self confidence, resilience and overall well-being.

Instil a sense of empowerment to effect positive change in the world.

Promote self respect and tolerance for diversity.

Connect:


_ _This phase features an action-packed day at a Leeds activity centre, where participants engage in exhilarating challenges, including team-building activities, archery, axe throwing, bushcraft, and more.

Create:

_ _Participants have the opportunity to partake in two workshops designed to equip them with valuable skills to navigate the complexities of modern life.

These workshops cover various areas such as Travel and Culture, Leadership and Enterprise, Sport and Well-being, Life skills and Money Management, and Media and Production.

Inspire:

_ _In this phase, participants engage in meaningful social action projects.

They receive the necessary resources and guidance to plan and execute a social action project, effecting positive change in their community based on their passions and interests.

To effectively manage a group of young people, working in partnership with other NCS delivery staff an external delivery provider across all aspects of the NCS programme.

This may include delivering team building games on our 'connect' phase and helping young people plan and deliver a meaningful social action project in their local area.

You will be required to liaise with the other local deliver partners and coordinate with them to ensure delivery of the social action projects and to maintain partnerships throughout the programme.

You will be responsible for the safety and wellbeing of the participants involved with the programme.
