Description
We are looking for an experienced IRO to join the Child In care team in Barnsley Council.

  • We are seeking an experienced Independent Reviewing Officer to undertake statutory reviewing functions and drive care planning in relation to Children in Care in Barnsley to support positive outcomes.
  • We are aspirational for our children and young people and it is essential that you have a working knowledge of the Care Planning Regulations and IRO Handbook, know what _good_ looks like.
  • We are looking for IROs who can be creative, and are able to challenge drift and delay to ensure decisions for children are timely and plans are progressed that are in their best interests.

Qualifications:

  • Qualification in Social Work
  • Registered with Social Work England.
  • Enhanced DBS
