We are looking for an enthusiastic individual who will be a key part of our dietetic and nutrition team, based at the City Hospital Campus at Nottingham University Hospitals NHS trust.
This role will include working alongside dietitians and other dietetic staff supporting patients nutritional pathway while they are in hospital (for example checking stock and ordering nutritional products), as well as support with patients' discharges.
In addition, you will contact patients to book appointments and you will support the department with administration takes (such as, typing letters, answering the phone and printing educational material).
You will benefit from an established team who will fully support you with your training needs. This role is available full time or part time and we will consider flexible hours.Main duties of the job
You will be required to undertake routine administration tasks.
These will include answering the phone, complete database to support patients who needs nutritional products, printing written information, contacting patients to organize appointments, help with wards stock checks, typing letters, dealing with queries from the wards and much more.
As a dietetic team administrator, you will be prioritise your own workload and work with all members of our team.
You will require good communication skills (both written and verbal) as this role entails liaising with a wide range of individuals including patients and clinical staff.
Working for our organisation
The Dietetic service is part of the Therapies and Rehabilitation Services pathway, within the Clinical Support Division at NUH. We are a diverse pathway of Allied Health professional (AHPs) and support staff, employing over 700 staff.
AHP includes physiotherapists, dietitians, occupational therapists, orthotists, prosthetists and speech and language therapists, as well as our other staff encompassing professions such as nurses, psychologists, administrative and clerical and support workers.
This role will work with the Dietetic staff and you will be based in direct contact with them, in the same office.

JOB SUMMARY
To provide administrative support to the Dietetics team at Nottingham University
Hospitals.
The day to day role will be to provide a highly valued, comprehensive and reliable administration service to clinical colleagues and support workers with as well as being the first point of contact for the service.

Training and Qualifications
Essential criteria
- GCSE level or equivalent standard of Maths/English
- NVQ Level 2/3 Business Admin
- ECDL or equivalent
- Experience of hospital systems such as Medway PAS, NOTIS, Winscribe and Medical Office
- Willing to complete NVQ qualification in post
Essential criteria
- Proficient use of Excel/Spreadsheets and wordprocessing
- Understand the importance of confidentiality
- Audio/ copy typing experience
- Experience of hospital systems e.g. Medway PAS, Clinical Noting, Medical Office etc
