The School of Medicine & Dentistry has developed a very successful theme of Medical Education and leadership research and teaching, and an expansion of the capacity is necessary.

As the Post Graduate Medical Education Programmes expand and develop, there is a need for staff to assist in the delivery of the programme(s), particularly as it moves out to a global community.

The school therefore wishes to appoint a 1.5 FTE Senior Lecturer in Medical Education to support the development of the post graduate educational provision predominately in medical education and take the lead for the delivery, quality assurance and assessment of credit bearing courses in this area.

Part-time, full time or fractional posts would be considered.

This role(s), on a fixed term basis (initially), will assist us in the delivery to our growing post graduate student population.

You will hold a higher degree in an area related to Medical Education along with familiarity with education pedagogy.

Experience of working within a postgraduate area and program experience in medical education is essential alongside willingness to undertake distance learning development.

You must possess excellent communication and presentation skills and have strong planning and team management skills.

This programme is delivered in a student-centred manner with timetabled sessions being conducted via our digital learning resources.

Therefore, for staff members a flexible approach to work is essential with little or no requirement to be on campus.

Applicants need to meet all essential criteria on the person specification to be considered for interview.
