Job Summary:


The Project Planner will develop, produce, and update project plans and schedules to ensure effective and easy implementation of project programs, improving the service delivery of the business.

The Planner will report to the Planning Manager and work with the Project Delivery Team.


Key Responsibilities:


  • Prepare and update project plans and schedules
  • Review and analyze project plans and workflows
  • Identify and implement continuous improvement opportunities
  • Liaise with project teams to update project programs
  • Monitor project workflows and identify risks
  • Prepare reports and dashboards to monitor project progress
  • Support the implementation of project plans and schedules
  • Forecast resource needs
  • Assist the tendering team in developing project plans and schedules
  • Assist in developing manuals, processes, and procedures for project management

Requirements:


  • Degree in engineering preferred
  • Minimum 4 years of experience as a Planner
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in the energy, utility, or HV industry
  • Strong knowledge of project life cycle and risk management
  • Working knowledge of planning software (Smartsheet, MS Project, Excel)
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Highly organized with strong attention to detail
  • Ability to work in a fastpaced environment and handle sensitive matters with discretion

Desirable:


  • Working knowledge of program/portfolio management and contract management
  • Ability to write advanced formulas in Excel
  • Selfmotivated with a proactive approach to work tasks
  • Willingness to develop and learn new skills
  • Knowledge of project development, design, procurement, construction, and commissioning.
