This is an exciting opportunity to gain some experience within the ICT/Informatics division.

This post will work with the Business unit procurement manager and will contribute to the complete end to end process of ordering procurement and inventory management.

The ICT Business Support team undertake the responsibility of providing a service to Aneurin Bevan University Health Board stakeholders.

ICT Business provides and effective and professional ICT procurement service delivering ongoing cost efficiencies and benefits in line with health board objectives.

As a member of the ICT Business support team, you will be required to adopt a flexible approach towards any procurement activities undertaken including assisting in the management and maintenance of stock control processes.

The post at this level contains a range of tasks, some of which require the exercise of initiative whilst operating within broad procedural guidelines and requires a degree of independent judgement

The post holder will report to the informatics business unit procurement manager and be part of a busy team.

Providing administrative support in the specific areas of ICT Procurement, finance, software and hardware asset management as well as other general areas.

In addition it will be expected that the post holder will be key in providing operational and managerial reporting information for ICT and the Informatics division.


The role will work closely with the informatics business unit procurement manager and will gather, collate, analyse and present this data to ICT and Informatics.

This role assists with preparing financial management, will maintain databases including contracts, asset and software management.

The role will be a key function in coordinating and planning of the Informatics function in order to assist Heads of Service to deliver the Aneurin Bevan University Health Board Integrated Medium Term Plan.

The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; Welsh and/or English speakers are equally welcome to apply.
