Location:
Broxbourne, Hertfordshire


Pay:
£25 - £27 per hour DOE + Holiday Pay


Hours:
Hours are negotiable

Hertford Regional College are currently looking to recruit passionate and dedicated individuals to join our team as Math Coaches.

In this role, you will play a pivotal part in supporting the delivery of GCSE resit classes and functional skills to our students, particularly those who find Math challenging.


Your duties will include:

  • Providing individualised coaching and support to students enrolled in GCSE resit classes and functional skills courses in Math.
  • Developing tailored learning plans and resources to meet the diverse needs of students.
  • Delivering engaging and interactive sessions that promote understanding and mastery of key concepts in Maths.
  • Monitoring student progress closely and provide timely feedback to encourage improvement.
  • Collaborating with teachers and other staff members to create a supportive learning environment.

You will need:

  • A minimum qualification of GCSE or equivalent in either English or Maths.
  • Experience working with students who struggle with Math preferably in an educational setting.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport and motivate students effectively.
  • Patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for helping others succeed academically.
  • The ability to adapt teaching approaches to meet the individual learning styles and needs of students.
  • Flexibility and willingness to work collaboratively within a team environment.
