A day in the life of a Project Coordinator


You will work closely with the Manufacturing teams in EMEA to ensure that supporting documentation of manufacturing parts/processes is accurate and compliant.


This role gives the opportunity to get an in-depth view of manufacturing processes and procedures and work closely with a diverse and talented team of Operators, Technicians, Buyers, Engineers, and Managers.


Role Outline:


To perform a wide variety of support tasks within EMEA Operations, primarily related to the creation and maintenance of product attributes, pricing, and material setup for both the Fluke Norwich (FPM) and Berlin (FPI) sites.


Responsibilities:


Work closely with the Engineering program coordinator and Engineers to ensure the seamless transition of new products from Engineering systems to Manufacturing.

Collaborate with leaders in Manufacturing to support the continued maintenance of Fluke's ERP/material planning system by ensuring the accuracy of Bills of Material and product routings.

Process ECOs (Engineering Change Orders) for changes planned and implemented by the manufacturing team, ensuring that the appropriate approvals are received and documented for all changes.

Ensure the proper documentation of approved deviations to manufacturing processes, parts or systems per Fluke Quality and Engineering processes

Assist in raising Purchase Requisitions for miscellaneous items such as tools, furniture and test equipment required by manufacturing to support the factories.

Process incoming purchase orders from the Fluke Service laboratories for spare parts and tested components, ensuring timely and accurate entering of sales orders.

Load new items onto internal transfer price lists per guidance given by the Fluke financial controller.
May also assist in coordinating multi-function projects within Operations, such as Kaizen events, capital projects, and supplier/customer visits.

FBS Activities:


A portion of time may be spent attending required meetings, Trainings, 1:1 reviews, and Performance Appraisal reviews as communicated by the Operations Manager.

You are expected to take an active role in these events.

The business may require you to actively participate in continuous improvement events (Kaizens) or other applicable events which will be communicated to you from time to time.

The business may require you to actively participate in Daily Management meetings to report out achieved results and manage business expectations.


Position Scope:


Acts as a controller of process documents and part drawings for EMEA Manufacturing, ensuring that unauthorized changes are not made to such areas.


Interaction:


Interacts daily with Production Leadership, Buyers, and Schedulers to communicate ongoing changes and requirements to ensure compliance of parts to drawings.

Frequent interaction with Engineering Program Coordinator(s) to align ongoing Engineering projects for Manufacturing readiness.

Interacts as required with other members of the Fluke Management team, however, primary management contact will remain with the Operations Manager.

During times of project integration or high-complexity projects/changes, travel between the Norwich (FPM) and Berlin (FPI) sites will be required (~10% Travel as part of the Role).

Your Team


You will be in a talented support team on the Norwich site, working closely with the production management/engineering teams for both Fluke Norwich and Berlin manufacturing.


You will also be working closely with the Fluke PMO (Program Management Office) on new product introductions and changes in Manufacturing, giving ample opportunity for career development into Program Management or Manufacturing Support.

Experience

Prior experience managing complex, moving schedules, and tracking expenses would be a bonus.


Core competencies:

Prioritization skills

PC Literacy including Microsoft Office, preferably (but not essential) also Jira/Confluence & Oracle

Excellent communication skills

Organizational skills, such as tracking of spend and implementation of new changes.

Fluent German is a bonus but not essential.
