The theatre rota team is a busy department where no two days are ever the same. Working predominately at Sandwell but also cross-site. We strive to treat patients promptly and provide a good patient experience.

Where things can and do change often and quickly, we pride ourselves on meeting the challenge and providing the best service possible at all times to our patients.


We are looking for an organised, proactive, computer literate individual to join the theatre rota team of our very busy specialty, taking responsibility for achieving weekly and monthly rota plans/builds.

A thorough knowledge and understanding of excel and spreadsheets is essential for this role.

In addition, the applicant must have excellent communication skills, and the ability to prioritise their own workload in a fast paced, ever-changing environment.

To provide full administrative function to the Theatre's Rota Team in order to maintain an effective and efficient service.


The post holder will be based in SWBH on a planned basis supporting the work of the Theatre Rota Manager.

The postholder will carry out their duties in such a way as to make a direct and positive contribution.


To be responsible for communicating with other departments/Specialties to ensure that all systems are up to date and maintaining up to date information across all systems; Theatres overview and Surginet.
