Hybrid Home working with significant amount of time visiting and working from all our hospital sites as well as meeting with fundraisers, donors and potential community partners across the county and potentially beyond

Charitable Funds Committee, Friends/League of Friends groups, all staff


Risk Assessment:
Works with display screen equipment for prolonged periods, manual handling supporting fundraising events

Job Purpose:

As a key member of the Fundraising Team, the Community and Events Fundraising Officer will support the ongoing development and implementation of an ambitious community fundraising plan for Worcestershire Acute Hospital Charity, ensuring growth in the level of income raised from community fundraising activities and charity led events.

Working within the wider fundraising team, you will support and report to the Head of Fundraising and Community Development


Key Duties:

The Community and Events Fundraising Officer will: Manage existing supporters within the community in maximising income from their community fundraising activities and be proactive in recruiting new DIY fundraisers for the charity Manage a programme of charity led challenge events including recruiting participants and supporting their fundraising, leading on event management, organisation and delivery of events and supporting the Head of Fundraising and Community Development with budgeting and ensuring a positive ROI Develop income generating or mutually beneficial partnerships with community organisations, support groups and community events Manage and develop all charity community fundraising activities and events including local collections, shows, exhibitions, awareness stands and community talks Recruit new and manage existing community corporate partnerships through active local networking, researching prospects and opportunities and preparing proposals Manage a programme of awareness and fundraising activities with local nurseries, schools, colleges and other educational institutions Actively promote Trust and Charity volunteering opportunities in the community and supervise volunteers at external community events Deliver to and exceed income targets across multiple income streams and agreed annual objectives Use the Harlequin CRM effectively and diligently to record, store and build a donor database Use Harlequin CRM to support with income reporting as required Work to raise the profile of the charity, its work and relationship to the NHS Trust within our local community aiming to become one of Worcestershire's charities of choice Other duties: Actively support specific appeals and projects as deemed appropriate by the Head of Fundraising and Community Development Support the delivery of key fundraising objectives within the annual charity work plans Attend regular charity team meetings to review performance and plan future fundraising activities Work in partnership with the Trust Communications team to ensure that all fundraising events are effectively promoted and publicised Provide monthly reports to the Head of Fundraising and Community Development demonstrating activity, impact and progress towards targets Understand and comply with Charity and Trust policies and all relevant legislation Undertake training when necessary and participate in regular appraisals and performance reviews.

Ensure that all income and expenditure is correctly accounted for and all cash handled in accordance with the charity's procedures and to ensure that all fundraising activity is legal, ethical and conducted to the highest possible standard Effectively manage your time to ensure maximum impact and good return on investment Charity Mission Statement:
