Our client is seeking a motivated and organized Finance Systems & Project Assistant to join their finance team.


As a Finance Systems & Project Assistant, you will provide essential support in managing financial systems, data analysis, and contributing to finance-related projects.

Your attention to detail, technical aptitude, and teamwork skills will contribute to the efficiency and success of our finance operations


Position Overview:


Key Responsibilities:


Financial Systems Support:

  • Collaborate with IT teams to address technical challenges and ensure system functionality.

Data Management and Analysis:

  • Assist in collecting, organizing, and analyzing financial data to support reporting, forecasting, and decisionmaking.
  • Ensure data accuracy and integrity within financial systems.

Process Improvement:

  • Identify opportunities to streamline and optimize financial processes, proposing solutions to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
  • Participate in the implementation of process improvement initiatives.

Project Coordination:

  • Assist in coordinating financerelated projects, ensuring timely execution, resource allocation, and adherence to project timelines.
  • Collaborate with project managers and stakeholders to support project objectives.

Financial Reporting:

  • Generate financial reports and dashboards using relevant software tools.
  • Assist in preparing regular and adhoc financial reports for management.

Documentation and Training:

  • Maintain documentation for financial processes, procedures, and system configurations.
  • Provide training and user guides to assist finance team members in utilizing financial systems effectively.

Budget Tracking:

  • Assist in monitoring and tracking budget allocation and expenses for financerelated projects.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure adherence to budgetary guidelines.

Audit Support:

  • Assist in preparing documentation and reports for internal and external audits.
  • Collaborate with auditors to provide necessary information and address inquiries.

Cross-Functional Collaboration:

  • Collaborate with IT, finance, and other departments to ensure alignment of financial systems with business needs.
  • Provide technical insights and recommendations for system enhancements.

Ad-Hoc Tasks:

  • Assist in various adhoc tasks and projects related to finance operations and systems management as required.

Qualifications and Skills:


  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Information Systems, or a related field.
  • Previous experience in finance, systems support, or project coordination is advantageous.
  • Basic understanding of financial processes, principles, and systems.
  • Strong analytical skills for data analysis and reporting.
  • Excellent problemsolving abilities and attention to detail.
  • Effective communication skills for collaboration and documentation.
  • Project coordination and organizational skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and other relevant software.
  • Ability to adapt to changing priorities and manage multiple tasks.
  • Ethical mindset and commitment to maintaining financial integrity.
  • Enthusiasm for learning new systems and technologies.

Salary:
£25,000.00-£35,000.00 per year
