We're thrilled to announce an exciting opportunity for a passionate and dedicated individual to join our team at Birkbeck's Wellbeing Services as a full-time Disability Advisor.
This role is integral to our mission of providing equal opportunities and fostering an inclusive environment for all students.- An annual salary of £37,143, rising to £42,36
- A fulltime position with a 35hour work week
- An openended contract with hybrid working
- Managing a large caseload of students with complex and cooccurring conditions and needs.
- Responding to student enquiries and contributing to the administration that ensures student support needs are met.
- Identifying appropriate, individualised support packages and facilitating the provision of appropriate adaptations and support.
- Contributing to the development and delivery of workshops, activities, and resources.
- Providing training and guidance to academic and professional service staff on a range of topics.
- Leading on specific projects as required and maintaining uptodate, clear and accurate student records.
We're looking for a Disability Advisor who:
- Has an empathic understanding of the difficulties experienced by people with disabilities.
- Demonstrates knowledge of disability legislation and accessibility issues in education.
- Has experience of developing, implementing, and managing innovative and efficient administrative and monitoring systems.
- Has excellent organisational, time management, and IT skills.
- Has experience working in a senior administrative role within Further or Higher Education and/or other relevant professional experience.
- Is proactive, selfmotivated, and able to work collaboratively within a team.

Remuneration
£37,143, rising to £42,365 per annum, Grade 6 of the College's London Pay Scale.
