Balfor is seeking a dedicated Passenger Assistant in the Birmingham area to join our team and provide crucial support to one of our valued clients.


In this role, you will play a pivotal part in ensuring the safe transportation of children with special needs to and from school.

These children may have diverse medical and behavioural requirements, and your primary responsibility will be to guide and care for them during their journey, always taking into consideration their well-being.


As a Passenger Assistant, you will be at the heart of a vital service, working closely with parents, schools, and our Travel Assist team to ensure the highest level of care and safety for the children in your charge.

Requirements include:


  • Previous experience working/caring for children with special needs.
  • Previous experience as a pupil guide.
  • Clear communication skills.
  • First aid training.
  • Team Teach Training (preferred).
  • Safeguarding Training.
  • Harness Training.
  • BSL Training.
  • Autism Training.
  • Learning Disability Training.
  • Epilepsy Training.
  • Medication Training.

Salary:
Up to £12.22 per hour


Schedule:
