At Penguin Random House, Finance plays a key role in our business from our publishing to group accounting and reporting.
We are recruiting a Royalty Administrator (internally known as a Royalty Analyst) to join our friendly and supportive Royalties team based at our Distribution centre in Frating, Colchester.

Working within Group Accounts, the Royalty department is responsible for receiving, processing and paying royalty payments due to authors, agents and client publishing companies.
In this role, you will have ownership of accurately interpreting and inputting the financial elements of the contract between Penguin Random House and the author.
Your key responsibilities will include:
- Reviewing reports to ensure all sales are captured correctly and manually adjusting sales records where necessary
- Adding special sales royalty rates to the system
- Maintaining the accuracy of the contracts in the system and ensuring amendments are made promptly
- Querying unusual contract clauses with the contracts department
- Assisting in the Manual Licensing Statement accounting process, liaising with external licensees
- Reviewing and analysing both internal and external royalty statements for accuracy and recalculating statements after rate amendments
You will be confident working in a larger team whilst also completing your own projects to a consistently high standard to meet deadlines.
You'll be able to process high levels of data accurately and will take a structured approach to planning and organising your workload.
This a hybrid role, with a mixture of working from home and working from the office in Frating, Colchester. Working patterns will be discussed at interview stage.

Salary:
crica £22,800 depending on how your skills and experience align to the role, plus benefits.
