Recycling Operative

Salary:
£27,006.75 per annum plus Veolia benefits

Hours:48 hours per week rotating shifts Monday - Friday 6am - 4pm

Location:
Cardiff, CF37 5YL

What will you be doing?

Remove waste from the designated waste bays.
Transfer waste materials.
Use of a counter balance ( Fork lift Truck ) for the transport of waste materials / bins.
Use of baler & loading shovel.
Maintaining overall cleanliness of the site.
Report all service and safety concerns.
Check equipment and mobile plant before using them.
Keep the site clean and tidy.
Inspecting waste received at the Waste Transfer Stations.
Minor maintenance to plant equipment such as bulb changes and oil level check.
Complete and report the daily and weekly cleaning and maintenance of the Mobile Plant.
Plant operation (where trained)

What are we looking for?

Forklift (counterbalance) licence or experience would be advetangerous
Basic understanding of Health & Safety
Previous experience in a similar role would be beneficial
Ability to work well as part of a team
