The Behaviour Mentor:
To be considered for this Behaviour Mentor role, you must have experience working in a similar educational or residential setting.
It is imperative that you have a clear understanding of the kinds of SEMH issues the young people at this school are dealing with, in order to build a strong rapport with them and provide effective wellbeing support and behaviour management.
Behaviour is challenging, so you must be a resilient and level-headed Behaviour Mentor with great communication skills.The Behaviour Mentor Role:
As a Behaviour Mentor at this school, you will work closely with the rest of the pastoral team to deliver effective wellbeing support and manage challenging behaviour when it arises.
You will be doing intervention work with young people aged that are struggling to engage with their education or have SEMH needs that need to be supported.
You should be familiar with safeguarding procedures, which will need to be followed at all times.The School:
The school is an Alternative Provision catering for pupils aged 11-16 with behavioural challenges and SEMH needs that mean they have struggled to engage with their mainstream education.
