Salary:
£25,803 to £27,735 plus a Location allowance of £1,721. You will receive £25,803 the band minimum. Progress to the band maximum of £27,735 will be via incremental progression.

This is an exciting time to be working in the Processing and Support Team for the Metropolitan Police Service. What does the average day look like? Your core duties will include:
The data entry of Traffic Offence Reports to a dedicated database, issued by Police Officers at the roadside. Processing the Notice of Intended Prosecution, Preparation of Court files for all Road Traffic Offences that require a hearing. Dealing with telephone enquiries from members of the public. Dealing with correspondence within the statutory time limit.
This includes:
- Data entry of Road Traffic Offence reports to a dedicated database
- Creation of court files relating to Traffic Offences that require a hearing
- Accessing and be fully competent on Metropolitan Police systems
- Monitoring cases to process within the Statuary time limit
- Sorting and distributing incoming post and recording recorded/special delivery post
- Processing offences that are going straight to court
- Dealing with telephone calls from members of the public regarding traffic offences
- Processing Parking Offences
- Any other administrative task as directed

Essential Criteria
- You should be computer literate and be competent in using a variety of computer packages
- Be flexible and open minded and willing to change with the adapting role
- High level of integrity
- Able to work as part of a busy team or independently
- Be prepared to undertake training on the Police National Computer system and pass
