The RSSL Pharmaceutical Chemistry lab conducts various analytical tests for a range of food, pharmaceutical, and healthcare firms.
The position of Senior Scientific Administrator involves carrying out a variety of routine tasks to support project completion and meet customer agreements effectively.
Technical
- Deliver top-notch customer service by organizing work efficiently, ensuring data integrity, and providing results promptly and accurately.
- Conduct front end checks on incoming projects in compliance with quality standards. Verify all required documentation and materials are in place.
- Train and authorize personnel for front end checking.
- Support project bookings during busy periods and manage material orders for smooth lab operations.
- Handle calibration of equipment, maintain stock of supplies, and ensure a safe work environment.
- Utilize software tools essential for the role and collaborate with different departments when necessary.
- Provide feedback for project improvement and perform routine equipment calibrations.
- Engage with commercial and customer inquiries, coordinate project timelines, and ensure timely project delivery.
- Assist in archiving books and project folders as per quality standards.
Communication & Influence
- Collaborate effectively within the analytical team.
Quality and Health & Safety
- Adhere to safety and quality standards, follow procedures, and maintain a clean working environment.
- Complete quality tasks promptly and ensure compliance with GMP standards.
- Keep accurate training records.
Knowledge, Skills, Experience
- Hold a relevant scientific A-level qualification or equivalent.
- Demonstrate accountability, honesty, and teamwork.
- Detail-oriented with the ability to follow instructions.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Self-motivated, enthusiastic, and organized.
- Basic understanding of lab equipment (preferred).
- Proficient in English.
