We're recruiting for a Supply Chain Business Partner to join our UK Supply Chain team.

The Supply Chain Business Partner role will support the implementation of the Telecom Security Requirements (TSR) across Supply Chain Management (SCM) (all categories) on a contract by contract basis.

You'll provide expert knowledge to either directly, or support SCM BP's, to drive/ negotiate inclusion of TSR's in new and existing contract against an existing playbook.


Key accountabilities include:


  • The role holder should establish themselves as the SME for the TSR clauses and playbook in respect of SCM.
  • Engage and align with all key stakeholders (VPC, UK & VPC Legal, UK Heads of Category, TSR team in UK Corporate Security) as necessary during individual contract negotiations.
  • Be an active member of the UK Supply Chain Team taking on additional adhoc projects and tasks as required to facilitate the development of the department and raise the functions profile within the Company.
  • Control cost associated with the supplier contracts to maintain Vodafone's competitive position on the account and improve Vodafone's profitability.
  • Act as a commercial escalation point for all suppliers supporting the customer account and make recommendations to senior management.
  • Work in partnership with the VPC (Vodafone Procurement Company) category manager or local category manager to ensure that the broader supplier / category relationship is being leveraged.
  • Ensure that robust commercial governance is in place with key third party suppliers and manage supply chain audit requirements mandated by the customer.
  • Identify and deliver commercial best practices and synergy benefits through effective collaboration with peers in other operating companies, and Global Supply Chain.
  • Act as a true business partner in managing stakeholder relations at all levels including senior stakeholders. Influence, challenge and drive change to add incremental value.

Who are we looking for?

  • Strong background in commercial contract management with large financial value
  • Excellent contract negotiation skills
  • Proficient knowledge of contract law
  • Good understanding of financial modelling and total cost of ownership
  • Strong communication skills with an ability to influence across the business
  • Experience of commercial contract management within a large telecommunications environment is desirable
