This post is a fixed term post for 1 year, due to limited available funding


If you are an internal applicant this post will only be offered on a secondment basis and you will need to have gained your line managers approval for the secondment prior to going to interview.


An exciting opportunity has arisen for a self-starting, and highly-motivated individual for the post of PET/CT Administrative Assistant, within Swansea Locality, as part of the Nuclear Medicine Department within Swansea Bay University Health Board.


The post holder will provide patient support, counselling and welfare of patients for the Nuclear Medicine, DXA and PET/CT Sections, including ensuring the correct patient preparation and preparation compliance ahead of complex examinations.


The post holder will be a core team member of the Nuclear Medicine office team, which provides administrative support for the PET/CT, DXA and Imaging sections of Nuclear Medicine in Singleton Hospital including providing information to patients ahead of their complex appointments and ensuring adherence to preparation for examinations.

The post holder will be required to provide office training to junior staff members and to ensure the effective running of the frontline office in the department.


We are looking for an individual who has excellent communication skills, be able to work effectively within a team and be efficient and organised with their own workload.

This post would be suitable for applicants with good attention to detail, strong administrative skills, good keyboard skills, and are familiar with Microsoft office programmes.

This post is based at Singleton Hospital.
