STRATEGIC BUYER - 12 MONTH FTC (with a view to be Permanent) - SALARY £35000-£42,000

Pertemps have the pleasure to present this fantastic opportunity for a Strategic Buyer to join our client on an initial 12 month fixed-term contract, with a view to becoming permanent.

Our client is a leading provider of manufacturing Aerospace, Automotiveand construction products, based in Birmingham.


THE ROLE:


  • To negotiate with suppliers using a number of different negotiation techniques
  • Taking part in individual supplier meetings, eauctions and supplier summits
  • Manage and benchmark existing suppliers, work with site/maintenance Engineers to identify possible alternative products, sources of supply and arrange site trials.
  • Ensure contracts, NDA's are in place for all suppliers and negotiate renewals
  • Ensure all Agreements have Legal Approval
  • Work on costsaving initiatives and manage savings database to record all data
  • Complete the monthly self assessment ASAT tool in conjunction with Procurement Manager
  • Attend daily meetings with suppliers, Engineers and SPA's
  • Negotiate T&C's between suppliers and internal Legal team, and assist the team to solve finance and requisitions queries.

THE PERSON:


  • A minimum of 2 years' experience in a procurement, negotiation and Legal contracts Management
  • Excellent written and verbal communication
  • CIPS part or fully qualified would be desirable
  • To have the ability to multi task and prioritise tasks and be able to work and think under pressure.
  • Proven decision making and project management skills
  • Pro active attitude
INITIAL FTC 12 MONTHS
Monday - Thursday pmFriday
HYBRID (To be negotiated with Client)
SALARY £35,000 - £42,000 depending on experience.
