Health & Safety Advisor ISO Hemel Hempstead-( Remote)

Role:
Health & Safety Advisor ISO 45001

Contract Length: 6 months with possible extension

Location:

Hemel Hempstead-( Remote)

IR35 Status:
Inside IR35

Responsibilities/Accountabilities?
The key responsibilities of the role are to:?

Act as H&S Team coordinator and representative for project team in ISO 45001: 2018 implementation within scoped business unit?
Act as a competent person as defined and required by the Health & Safety [at Work etc] Act 1974 and its associated regulatory requirements?
Undertake monitoring of a single Health and Safety Management system that aligns to industry standards e.g. ISO 45001.?
Provide support to operational managers on all matters pertaining to OH&SMS and how it supports the company's Great Place to Work agenda?
Support the Head of H&S on matters and representation, where requested.?
Conduct investigations on a range of incidents and provide best practice advice; seeking guidance from the Head of H&S when needed and to support personal development.?
Assist in matters relating to Occupational Health, where there is an overlap between Occupational Health requirements and Health and Safety Regulatory requirements or obligations. ?
Provide guidance and support on priority risks such as DSE, Occupational Stress and others as matters arise in line with policy.

Experience and Knowledge?
-
Minimum of a NEBOSH Diploma

-
Graduate Member of IOSH

-
3-5 years Health and Safety experience within a corporate environment

:
Experience of contributing to the creation, maintenance and improvement of Health and Safety Management systems i.e. HSG65 / ISO 45001:2018?
Experience of working in a geographically dispersed workforce with a combination of fixed and mobile work locations.?
Proven experience of working collaboratively within a matrixed environment.?
Experience of raising organisational awareness and creating an improved Health and safety culture.?
Proven investigative skills and the ability to compile accurate, analytical and comprehensive reports.?
