This is a full-time post created through reorganisation.

It is available immediately and will be based at St John's Hospital (SJH), although daytime critical care work and out of hours critical care on call will take place at the Western General Hospital in Edinburgh (WGH).

The Consultant will be responsible for the continued care of patients in their charge and for the proper functioning of the department.

The posts will have 10.0 Programmed Activities

(PA). 8 PA of DCC (Direct Clinical Care) and 2 SPA (Supporting Professional Activity), it may be possible to re-organise PA in order to accommodate specialist interests. 1 EPA may be available.
