RISK Institutional & Securities Services (RISK I2S) is part of RISK CIB and has responsibility of the credit risk profile of the Institutional clients, CIB lntragroup entities and Market Infrastructures and related credit approval process, including all BP2S business lines and activities.
Main responsibilities of RISK I2S:
In line with the Group target risk profile, RISK I2S recommends to Senior and General Management the target risk profile of lnstitutionals and Securities Services activities
It consists in:
- The definition of a consolidated and consistent view of the Bank's credit exposures to institutional clients and Market Infrastructures
- The support and proximity of the Coverage and business lines in the implementation of their business strategies and initiatives and related impact on the risk profile
- The management of actual risk profile vs target one
- The anticipation of developments in credit risks by identifying potential threats to our portfolio, assessing the impacts of adverse scenarios and supporting Stress testing exercises
- The close monitoring of the credit quality of the portfolio, incl. Watch List and doubtful files in coordination with the businesses
- The contribution to RDPC, FMRC, CPC, CCIRC, etc... on Institutional clients and Securities Services perimeter
Manage the credit approval process and policies
- Exercise a credit delegation in accordance with delegation scheme and credit process rules and cochair Credit Committees together with the Coverage or Business Lines representatives
- Responsible for Credit Committee Minutes' contents and sign off as RISK delegation holder
- Authorized to approve policy exceptions as defined in procedures such as collateral, legal credit terms...
- Participate in or request Due Diligences
- Act as a RISK expert representative on specific portfolio reviews and provide immediate support and guidance for complex requests
- Provide RISK I2S's comments/recommendations for TAC/NACs
- Guarantee a consistent credit approach across the group by contributing to the definition of credit and rating policies, and backtesting exercises.
- Guarantee the operational implementation of the Group policies within the perimeter
Act as RISK representative vis a vis the Coverage and Business lines
To deliver its missions, RISK I2S is organized around five main competencies: Credit, RISK BP2S, Regulatory and Framework, Asset Solutions and CRC teams.
RISK I2S Credit is responsible for managing the credit decision process and monitoring the counterparty and credit risk on the Bank's institutional clients.
RISK I2S Credit's responsibilities include risk management oversight and control over the relevant activities and associated risks conducted from and through BNP Paribas.
