Description

Delivering the Service - daily Supervisors will be required to identify and respond to user needs and to solve problems/complaints as and when they arise.

This will require effective liaison with other staff groups, particularly nursing and actively seek constructive feedback on service provision. The Supervisors role covers a range of services within facilities. To train, monitor and supervise facilities staff in all the elements of their role.

To supervise the handling of clinical waste generated by the retained estate.

Supervisors are required to work with staff teams and to carry out portering duties, patient movement non-patient movement and linen and laundry to cover the needs of the service.

A Supervisor will be required to have the knowledge and technical ability to be able to undertake and teach staff the skills necessary to complete service delivery.

Support the Trusts Health and Safety Policy ensuring staff are trained to ensure the safety of staff visitors and patients within their area of work.


To support the Team Leaders in ensuring equipment used to deliver the service is of the standard required and is maintained to physical and technical standards.

To inform Team Leaders of the ordering requirements and place orders to maintain sufficient stock levels to deliver the service.

Undertake initial investigation and reporting of untoward incidents and accidents using Datix. Completion and returning of Absence Monitoring forms.


Will be required to take responsibility for ensuring that return to work interviews is completed in a timely manner and that the Team Leaders are informed when an employee reaches the next stage of the Trust Management of Sickness and Absence Policy.

Checking and countersigning clock cards on a weekly basis in preparation for data entry to the payroll data base, EROSTER.

Management of annual leave requests in a timely manner.
